The Century NG Landing Net combination is
a total package designed by Frank Warwick
and precision engineered by Century.
Frank wanted a landing net that was much more than the best net - it had
to fulfil several functions without compromise. Each aspect of this
innovative tool has been field tested and extensively refined. From the
complex shaft design to the robust CNC turned stainless steel fittings -
the concept represents a revolutionary step forward in bait delivery,
capture, care and control. The NG net shaft is built from 3k-1k carbon,
the same we use in the NG rod.
The stainless steel spreader block is manufactured in the UK by a company
that specialises in military machinery. The arms are built from super
tough Armalite carbon Kevlar for lightness and a long life.
The net mesh is designed to move easily through the water but is
sufficiently small to ensure small leads are not entangled.
The stainless spike at the base of the net is for locating the net shaft
in the bank whilst it is not being used. It also allows the shaft to be
picked up by the upper Grip Fast handle
and support the scales on the special stainless hook.
The stainless steel hook is quickly interchangeable with the spreader
block and makes accurate weighing practical and easy especially if you
fish alone. The shaft is also designed to take a baiting spoon and gives
maximum range with an orange sized ball of groundbait.
