Seldom is a design conceived that can genuinely be
labelled as a true classic. A classic example would be the E-Type Jaguar,
a car that was light years ahead of its time and still turn heads today.
In terms of fishing rods, the original classic has to be Richard Walker's
MK4 the first fishing rod designed exclusively to catch carp. It was
another 40 years before the design partnership of Nobuo Nodera and Kevin
Nash created the Infinity Amorphous, the first carp rod to combine extreme
casting power with the ability to hook and play carp at close range. The
infinity became a classic in the 90s and is still used by many of Europe's
top carp anglers.
Nodera and Nash now present the Titanium Xtreme Pursuit a rod so
advanced for its time that it is like comparing a split cane rod with a
carbon fibre rod. A rod of uncompromising performance, it is designed for
serious anglers seeking the largest carp in the UK and mainline Europe.
The Xtreme Pursuit provides unbelievable casting power, but with a power
to weight and diameters ratio that has never been achieved before. Put
simply, no other carp rod can unleash the power for extreme range and yet
be so forgiving at close range. Yet it is so slim, so light and so
balanced that you would never believe the slim line exterior lies a
performance packed 3.5lb test curve.
The rod does not need to be introduced with reams of baffling technical
data because as soon as a carp angler picks up a Titanium Xtreme Pursuit
he will know he is holding a truly remarkable fishing rod - one that is
destined to become a fishing legend.
