Sentient Feeder Rods
Using the correct guides, reel seat and handle is very important when designing a rod, but the real key to a good rod is the design and construction of the blank. The new CarbonActive Sentient range still retains the 'non-lockup actions' from the first CarbonActive.
These new rods were initially suggested by Tom Pickering who felt there was a gap in the market that needed to be filled. Whilst many manufacturers have been concentrating on rods suitable for match sized carp, few have also focused on more traditional match rods suited to light lines..

All of the models have the CarbonActive 'non lock-up' action designed for optimum fish-playing and the correct amount of casting power, lower in the blank, for accurate, long distance casts.

11' / 13' CARBON ACTIVE SENTIENT FEEDER
The 11'/13' Feeder is the most versatile feeder rod in the Sentient range and is every bit as good when fished at 11' as it is at 13'. The progressive action in the middle section not only plays fish perfectly but provides additional casting power, especially when fished at 13' and enables this model to be used with feeders up to 4oz. Three interchangeable quiver tips offer versatility for both the still water and river angler. Line Rating: 2.5lb - 7lb

11' 6" CARBON ACTIVE SENTIENT FEEDER 2 PIECE
This rod has been redesigned and updated by changing to just 2 sections, which not only improves the action but now means it folds conveniently for transporting " made up " which more and more anglers now demand. The Sentient 11' 6" has a refined fish-playing action that is suitable for a vast range of feeder fishing at close and medium range. However the blank has a semi-fast action which is capable of accurately casting 2oz feeders in excess of 55yrds. This action also makes it suitable for match carp fishing on medium feeders or the straight lead. Supplied with 3 interchangeable tips that all blend into the top section without any flat spots.

12' 6" CARBONACTIVE SENTIENT FEEDER ROD
With slightly more power than the 11'6" version the Sentient 12'6" Feeder offers great versatility. It can still handle light hook lengths thanks to the design of the tip section. This makes it an outstanding bream or river chub rod, whilst the power in the butt section really comes into its own on very long casts or for controlling hard-fighting carp in a match fishing environment.
