 This innovative big pit/surf reel is a direct descendant of
the much sort after Ultegra XT Series, considered the ultimate long-range
spod reel, launched in the UK 4 years ago and now no longer available.
Incorporating a sculpted, streamlined body with striking cosmetics, this
fearsome animal can really do the business when called upon, not surprising
really as the Spheros has been specifically designed for heavy duty long
term use, without compromise. The Spheros has a cold forged gear, 5
ball bearings plus a roller bearing that is equivalent to 9 ball bearings,
Nexus and Stress Free technology, plus a power roller to boot. An
aluminium triangular rotor prevents flexing under extreme pressure and
the reel also features long crank handle with large tactile finger grip, hybrid aluminium body and aluminium spool with Titanium
Zirconia-coated rim. Both the 12000 and 14000 size reels are capable
of a massive line payload, perfect for extreme range work (including boating
baits out) and the brilliant Aero Wrap line lay ensures smooth even casting
