100% stainless means exactly that. We see no point incorporating 'softer' materials. It's not hard to work out that if stainless tube is joined to plastic or aluminium bosses (simply because it's easy and cheap to manufacture) something's got to give... and it won't be the Stainless item!

Of course, stainless is more expensive. But it is extremely cost-effective, outlasting aluminium banksticks tenfold...and is never bending!
